We are supporters, creators, helpers, and collaborators!

Welcome to the PBI, or should I say, a place to build your networks, ideas, creations, and a sense of belonging.

The ideas that start in your mind are more than welcome to be shared and promoted here. PBI is a platform where not only you receive support, but we support one another. It's a place that values collaboration, sharing knowledge, and encourages creativity.

I still remember how my journey with PBI began. I joined a Zoom meeting without knowing what to expect. As a student, I am always curious and seeking opportunities outside the classroom. What I discovered was much more meaningful and transformative. I learned not only about people, but also about their work, their contribution, and involvement in various activities. I met experienced individuals who are passionate and skilled in what they do. This platform showed me how valuable it is to connect with those who have already taken the path ahead.

I remember connecting with Alan and telling him that I would be happy to contribute to this initiative. He welcomed me warmly as part of a community that encourages ideas, insights, creativity, and the willingness to do something meaningful. It feels like stepping into a space where I am allowed, encouraged, and can explore my potential and nurture my drive.

Since then, every time I attend a PBI meet-up, there is always something new to learn, whether it is about consistency, perseverance, or how different minds align in the field of psychology. What started as just clicking a meeting link has turned into a real source of inspiration for me and has changed how I see myself in this field.

3 Things I Learned in My First 100 Days

Say yes, even if you’re unsure. That first Zoom call? I had no clue what was going to happen. But saying yes changed a lot of things that I never thought before.

Reach out and connect.

Sometimes, a small conversation and willingness to learn something, like my first chat with Alan and my interest in the field, open doors I did not even know existed.

Growth starts with community.

Surrounded by curious, innovative, and career-driven people pushes me to grow and explore my own potential. It encourages me to take the first step by introducing myself or attending an upcoming event. It’s a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and immerse myself in this supportive environment.

Being a member of PBI, I learn that sense of belonging is not just about joining a community. It is about learning, evolving, contributing, and sometimes, just showing up. It is about unlocking ideas, exploring creativity and innovation, and finding confidence to step forward, even when I was unsure.

If you are a student like me, wondering what is out there, maybe this is your nudge to take the leap. You never know where a simple yes might lead.

PBI Take

Sneha beautifully captures what the PBI is all about, connection, curiosity, and collective growth.

We often say that psychology in business is a shared journey of learning, experimenting, and evolving together.

Sneha’s reflections remind us that belonging is built through contribution, conversation, and courage, the willingness to show up, to learn, and to give back.

Every member brings something unique to our ecosystem: insight, energy, perspective. When those meet, something powerful happens, innovation grows and confidence builds.

What a lovely reflection, Sneha, this captures the spirit of PBI perfectly! I really like how you’ve framed your experience around saying “yes,” connecting, and growing through community. It’s such a powerful reminder that professional development is about the people and spaces that help us bring our ideas to life.

Your story will definitely resonate with many students and early-career psychologists who are looking for that first step into a supportive professional network.
